Everyday heroes

In the boundless marvel universe, there are iron man, spider-man and other avengers members.

In the magical world of fantasy, there is harry potter fighting against the forces of evil.

Some of them have super powers, some of them can do kung fu. In our lives, no one has superpowers, and few have learned kung fu, but there are many “heroes”.

When it comes to “heroes in life,” I’m sure many people will name the police, firefighters, doctors, people’s liberation army, etc. That’s right, while we’re lying on our couches watching TV, it’s the police out there catching criminals, it’s the firefighters who help put out fires to save lives, it’s the doctors and nurses who fight death overnight to cure the sick, it’s the people’s liberation army that keeps the country safe at the border.

My memory as a child is blurred, but there is one thing I remember very clearly. When I was in primary school, my aunt, a nurse, received news that a mine in Shanxi Province had collapsed, killing countless workers. She decided to go to the mine for emergency rescue. In addition to my family, I met another “hero”, the father of my good friend Sybil, a traffic policeman. During the worst of the outbreak and the most rapid spread of the virus in China, he would check the body temperatures of passers-by and passengers in the streets every day. He and other traffic police officers have built a virus defense line for our city, risking infection.

Everyday heroes don’t fight monsters, and they’re not as well known as their on-screen superheroes, but they have courage, responsibility, and deserve everyone’s respect.
